Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Agency (SAPTA)

SAPTA provides regulatory oversight and funding for community-based public and nonprofit organizations. The Agency is also responsible for the development and implementation of a state plan for prevention and treatmen,; coordination of state and federal funding, and development of standards for the certification of prevention and treatment programs.

University of Nevada, Reno (UNR)

The University of Nevada, Reno is the state’s historic flagship institution of higher education. The University provides a broad range of programs and degree options, ranging from baccalaureate degrees in more than 75 disciplines to more than 100 graduate-degree programs at the master’s and doctoral level.

Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies (CASAT)

CASAT is a part of the Division of Health Sciences at UNR. It strives to improve substance abuse prevention and treatment services by helping states, organizations, agencies, and individuals apply evidence-based practices in the field.

Learning and Resource Center (LRC)

The main function of the Nell J. Redfield Learning and Resource Center, commonly known as the LRC, is to provide media services and resources to educators and College of Education students. The services provided include instructional support and curriculum enrichment. Students and faculty at the university, as well as teachers and administrators in surrounding school districts, are invited to use the center’s resources.

Nevada AADAPTS

Nevada AADAPTS is a statewide organization comprised of and representing non-profit human service organizations concerned with addictive disorders, prevention, intervention and treatment.

Crisis Call Center

Crisis Call Center’s 24-hour crisis line provides a safe and non-judgmental source of support for individuals in any type of crisis.

Substance Abuse Librarians and Information Specialists (SALIS)

SALIS is an international association of individuals and organizations with special interests in the exchange and dissemination of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug (ATOD) information.

Methpedia

The Mission of Methpedia is to prevent the use of methamphetamine by providing citizens, law enforcement, public health, youth, media and community organizers a tool that allows them “one-stop” shopping for the most relevant and timely information available.

Nevada Alliance for Drug Endangered Children

The mission of the Nevada Alliance for Drug Endangered Children is to break the cycle of abuse and neglect by empowering practitioners who work to transform the lives of children and families living in drug environments. Nevada DEC is a great resource for multidisciplinary educational tools, best practices and support for those working to rescue, defend, shelter and support Nevada’s Drug Endangered Children.
